Wreck dive:
Garda (1939)/ S-57 (1944)/Cave diving Amphorae diving
The cargo-ship "Garda"
… sank in 1939. This location is ideal for all the divers' categories. The
ship is located on the depth of 25 m.
Wreck dive S-57:
The boat is located on the depth of 20 - 38 m. It looks like a big grate,
because it's wooden parts had burned down. The captain's bridge is well
preserved, as well as the 20-mm stern-cannon with protective shield and
rotating mechanism, which is still functioning.The torpedo boat "S-57"
designed just before the World War II. "S" means "Schnellboot" (a fast
boat). The boat was launched on August 14th, 1940 and was protecting German
convoys in the South-Adriatic when on August 19th 1944, at 03.50 British
boats MTB 657, MGB 658 and MTB 653, embushed the convoy and open cannon
fire. Two crew members died and nine have been wounded, as the boat was
sunk. |

Caves
with wide entrances
On the end of the cave there is a large air-bubble (30 + 20 m). This location
is ideal for all the divers' categories. The depth is 20 m.

Walls of Elafiti archipelago
This southernmost diving area in Croatian Adriatic is specific for high claritz
of sea and great depths- that allow diving in relativelz few diving locations.
Although diving locations are not so numerious as in other regions, thez are
remarkable and worth the experience thez offer. Especially interesting are the
still present colonies of red coral.

Day 4

Island of Mljet, night
in Mljet.
Mljet
National Park:
Reef of stony coral dive/Diving in the solt lake on the island (Large Lake) /
National park area
Cave diving / Odysseus Cave - adventerous dive! But OK for divers of all
categories
Reef diving: In the Mljet area zone lies the largest reef of stony coral in the
Mediterranean located in the vicinity of the isle of Glavat and in the Veliko
Jezero (Large Lake) on the island itself. This is in the part of the island that
belongs to National park Mljet.
Cave diving / Odysseus Cave: For that special adventure diving at the location
of Odysseus Cave is really something to be remembered. Odysseus cave has a wide
entrance with pebbles on the bottom of the entrance. It features a clearly
visible interior into which large rocks have fallen from the caved in ceiling
and an attractive wall in front of the cave full of numerous fish sorts and
lobsters.

Archaeology (Amphorae) diving
Wreck diving: URSUS
Archaeology site is found on the depth of: 15m-35m It is OK for all divers
categories.
URSUS – Tugboat
This site is for experience divers only Tugboat was sunk by British submarine in
the World War II. It is 35m long and 5 meter broad. This ship lies on the depth
of 45m to 60m

Amphoras dive on Hvar / Greek cargo ship wreack diving/ Airplain

Island
Hvar is famous for sunken wrecks and amphoras.
Greek cargo ship wreck is sunken all the way back in Roman time 4th century
before Christ. Pleanty of Amphoras on depth of only 15 to 22 meters! There are different
kinds of Amphoras still sitting on the bottom of the sea – some of which are
from Roman cheramics.

airplane was an American bombarder "liberator" who was flying to Italy but was
shut down by Hvar in World War II
The wreck is in one almost undamaged. It lays at 42 m depth. Curiously the wreck
seems to attrack a lot of fish.

Cave
Kavlina is located in Island Hvar on depth 6 metres.It is channal with door of
1 meter squer long 15 metres with big room 30 sq m. Suitable for 3 advanced
divers at once.
Morning dive:
Underwater cliff close to the islet of Stambedar, Paklenski islands
archipelago near the island of Hvar depth: 5 - 45 meters location is suitable
for all categories, from beginners to advanced divers Stambedar is an islet
belonging to the Paklenski archipelago and lies near the island of Hvar.
Stambedar is interesting for divers due to the fabulous underwater cliff that
begins at the depth of 5 m and drops to the depth of 45 m. At greater depths
there is a large number of red and purple gorgonias and rich underwater fauna:
numerous fish, algae, snails and sea-urchins.

Afternoon
dive:
CAVE DIVE – possible for all category divers
Lucica Cave
is located on the south-east coast of the island, closer to Milna than Bol. It
is the biggest cove in this area and it has five smaller coves. At the coves
exit, only 5m from the shore and at a depth of 3m, there is an entrance to the
underwater cave descending vertically to 25m. Diving is possible throughout the
entire cave under daylight, except in the tunnel, where underwater torches are
required.
